I received this photo from Allan Fucher showing his cousin Stan and brother George. They were dedicated Christians and used to attend the Gospel Hall in Thornley (was next to Hutchinson's Fish and Chip Shop). George was one of the men who build the Hall as he was a joiner at Thornley Colliery. Stan used to live at 3rd Street and moved away to live with his Aunt Grace in Rotherham when he was 18 working as a miner in one of the local coal mines. The photograph shows them in their Sunday best as they were going to the Gospel Hall. The photograph was taken at 9 x 7th Street.
