I received this photograph from George Bannister and shows George's brother Stan who he lost in November 2012. Stan was born at 9 Shakespeare Street in 1949. He attended Wheatley Hill Infants school until the family moved to Peterlee where he attended Acre Rigg Juniors  after which he  moved down to Langold in 1960. When Stan left school he became a shaftman/blacksmith and worked at collieries in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire coal fields.
