Received these photograph from David Facey and shows the locomotive that used to run between Thornley and Wheatley Hill pits. David says that his late Great Uncle Tom Davis of Thornley used to drive it. David thinks that Tom is shown on the left but does not know the other men.

Update from Harry Copnall...thinks that the man on the right is Harry's stepfather Tommy Holmes who became the driver when Tom retired. Harry used to live in the village from 1946 to 1955.
