I received this following photograph from George Bannister.

The photograph shows the Junior Salvation Army band probably taken around 1930 at the front of the salvation army hall at  Thornley. The boy with the white shoulder strap on the right of the band master is my dad Harry Bannister he went on to play in Wheatly Hill and other colliery bands.
