I received this photograph from Helen Elliott. It shows her Grandmother Hannah Simpson at Wheatley Hill School around 1907. On the reverse of the original photograph Hannah mentions that she is 12 years old. She is in the second back row, on the right hand end next to the two teachers. She was only one of three girls wearing what look like identical tops, the other two are immediately in front of her. Hannah had two sisters Mary and Elizabeth. Mary would be 9 years old and Elizabeth 7 or 8 years old at that time. The photograph came into the possession of Helen when her father died in 2002. Hannah married Oswald Dover and Helens father Oswald Leslie was the eldest son. Helen has lots of information on the Dovers if anyone is looking for the family connections.
