On a recent visit to Wheatley Hill I received the following photograph in the Big Club. Not sure of the lad who gave it to me but if he contacts me I'll add his name....sorry about that.

The lads in this photograph cannot be any older than sixteen years of age but are enjoying a beer and a cigarette outside a cafe in Belgium. This was one of the trips that Mr. Harris Headmaster of Wheatley Hill Boys School made in the 1950's and early 1960's. Not sure when he stopped the trips. From left to right in the back row is David Maitland, John Tempest, Malcolm Jobes, Owen Rowland, Charles Smith, ? (Mousey) Barron, Jim McGrath. Middle row sitting, ?, Barry Shehan, Tom Appleby. Front Row lads I'm not sure of.

Update from Barry Fulcher. The two lads sitting in the front are, from left to right....Alan Taylorson and Gordon Brown.
