Notes from Mike Heslop The club was started when myself my brother and others got permission to ‘do something’ with the cellar. It had to be funded by ourselves. With the help of congregation members, plasterers, electricians etc., the painters were ourselves we turned that cellar into something we were very proud of. That would be 1958/59. I had to leave when my job took me away from the area but the friendships cemented then are still strong today.
