The following photograph is from Alistair Mills who received it from Ian Worthington who in turn received it from Billy Middleton. Billy has been instrumental in finding lots of photographs of the area, not only Wheatley Hill. If it wasn't for Billy, lots of the photographs he has obtained would no doubt have ended up still in storage somewhere or even in the dustbin and not seen the light of day. Thanks Billy hope you didn't mind me sharing this one with everyone.

I remember the tea van vividly, not this one but more modern vehicles. My mother always bought Ringtons.....good cup of tea. The photograph looks like it was taken close to Vincents Corner on Thornley Road and it looks like there is snow on the pavement.

Gordon Galloway sent me this information......The number plate on the Ringtons van was first issued between August 1990 and July 1991 in Nottingham so the van must date from after that and be a replica. I only remember the horse and carriages they used and the Morris 8s
