Received  this photograph from James Jackson showing the Wheatley Hill Girls School in 1927 which includes his mother.

Update from Hazel Mountford:-

Hazel thinks that the girl in the back row wearing the beads is her mother, Mary Miller whose father William Miller worked at Thornley Colliery. After leaving school Mary went into service in Harrogate where she met her husband who was in the army. After marrying they moved to her husbands home town of Bedworth in Warwickshire where they lived until they both passed away. Mary had a brother Jerry who was deaf and dumb. At one time Mary lived at Ruskin Crescent, Thornley where Hazel was born while her father was away in the war.
