I received this one from Derek Metcalfe of the Boys School class outing, probably in the Welfare grounds for art, not sure of the date but lots of the lads look familiar......update from Mel(Melvyn) Turner

The boys school outing brought back a few memories. It was actually taken on the side of a railway siding at Wheatley hill pit. I can remember that the task was to draw the pit head winding gear.unfortunately I can't remember the teachers name. I am in the front row 4th left,. Also in the front row is Douglas Alderton 2nd left,Colin Smith 5th left, and others in the group Billy Bennett, Steven Wright ,Steve Adams, ?St Julian and  Billy Elliott
