This photograph from Ken shows his mothers brother Charlie Eilbeck. He was born as Charles Dunnett in Thornley but was adopted along with his younger brother Alan Dunnett by his (Uncle Charlie and Aunt Hannah Eilbeck) when his parents died and the two lads were taken to Sherburn Hill to live.

The wedding was at the Church of St Mary the Virgin at Sherburn.
